Your First Coaching Session:

First of all, we are fully insured and DBS checked and you will be personally supervised at all times.

You don't have to bring anything with you, apart from suitable clothing and footwear depending on weather.
Hats are mandatory in the event of broken clays flying about and gloves are always handy if it's cold.
Remember you are outside and coping with UK weather.
Safety glasses, ear defenders, cartridges and suitable guns are all provided.
I am sure we will have a gun to suit you regardless of your size, age or stature.
We have different types and sizes of shotguns, single barrel, over and under and semi-auto and the sizes range from .410 (the smallest) , 28g, 20g up to 12g ( the largest).

How your day progresses.

Safety issues are dealt with first, along with an explanation of the relevant parts of the gun.
We will check eye dominance (which is nothing to be worried about) and will be explained on the day.
Next, the proper shooting stance (way to stand) to ensure that you are comfortable and any recoil from the shotgun is managed.
Finally, how to mount (hold) the gun and a basic gunfit session.
All these parts come together when you take to the stand to start your shooting and are equally important to make your day fun, rewarding and most of all safe.

Children have to be of a size and age to be able to support a gun unaided in order to take part, this is generally round the 8 year old mark, they must also be accompanied by an adult.

The ground is a bit bumpy but I am sure wheelchair access will be ok for the most part.
We will do our best to accommodate you.

There are however restrictions as to who can shoot and these details are on Section 21.
